Cost and Aid for International Students

The estimated cost for an international undergraduate student to attend UMass Boston for the academic year 2018-2019 is $34,286.

  • This total is based on full-time attendance, and includes both tuition and basic mandatory fees, as well as the Student Activities and Technology fees.
  • Depending on the college that admits you, additional mandatory fees may apply, as well. 
  • All international students are required to pay the UMass Boston Health Insurance fee.
  • Other additional costs include room and board, books and supplies, and personal or living expenses.  These amounts will, of course, vary depending upon your personal choices and preferences and course selection. They are not included in the total shown above.

Financial Aid for International Students
Opportunities exists for international students for various personal loans, as well as some on-campus employment through our Student Employment Office. Check for more information at the International Loans and Job Search pages of our Financial Aid Section.
Federal and state grants are not available to international students.
